about DTyler wedding photography

Our vision

Deacon Tyler and crew have photographed hundreds of weddings in the last ten years in locations across the world.  Our style is a unique blend of traditional posed shots and 'in the moment' wedding photojournalism that captures raw emotions and important moments as they occur.

strip weddingsThe manner in which we work with our clients is very calm and easy, never loud or pushy.  People are born to pose and know what makes them look good, so our energy is put towards watching you have a great time and popping off shots without constant interruption or being a nuisance on your special day.

After your shoot is over, we provide professional post process retouching at no additional charge and allow you to preview your photos online and order prints quickly and easily.

From Deacon: "Good wedding photography is not a client / business relationship - it's a short term close partnership.  It's one thing to show up at a wedding and take pictures, but it's another thing entirely to tell a story with photography.

Wedding photos are serious business  - It's a one time event that can never be duplicated or reshot.  These are the pictures you're going to be looking at for the rest of your lives and it's important to make them matter.  The decision to hire a professional wedding photographer is not only the right one, it's a decision you'll thank yourself for in five, ten or twenty years.

I work closely with my clients in the months prior to their weddings to come up with unique and creative ideas for their weddings; be it finding a neat location to shoot before or after the ceremony, coming up with poses or getting to understand the family's dynamic - their names and faces.

I know I've done my job when I see the look on my clients' faces or hear the excitement in their voices when they first view their wedding photographs.

About Deacon

"A gentleman once asked me what my first camera was and I was embarrassed to admit that in the early 80's, when I was around seven years old, I owned a hot pink 110 film camera which I used just long enough to get teased by classmates.  Not sure what happened to that camera, but I imagine it floating around getting a whole new generation of boys beaten up for wielding it.  If you clicked on the image link, you will see that I was indeed very secure in my masculinity!

Kidding aside, I'm an easy guy to work with and I encourage you to give me a call and set up a time to have a coffee.  Good wedding photography is more than just great photos, it's all about finding a photographer that fits your personality and your vision for what good photography should be.

I grew up in Wisconsin and while I'm definitely in love with where I'm at, I think my portraits reflect the innocence and family love that's a big part of growing up in the midwest and my 'aw shucks' personality helps put folks at ease :)

Throughout the year I bounce around from my main residence in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada to California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida and Hawaii and abroad.  After all these years, I never once stopped loving wedding photography experiencing this big beautiful country of ours with all of its different traditions and people.  Congratulations on your upcoming weddings and I'd sure love the chance to experience it with you!
